Book 2, Prep Cool, has Diana "borrowing" a school uniform that has been dropped off for cleaning at Cinderella cleaners and ends up sneaking her way into a posh private school where she is determined to fit in. Harvey's chapters on the body as an accumulation strategy (quoting Donna Haraway) offer a good history and discussion of the post-modern rejection of the Des Cartes body/mind duality. Apatow, the comedy zen master, has collected a range of writing that is at times funny and at other times absurd. So usually I avoid YA books. I would over think, get nervous, panic, and could just not relax and be myself. What a pack of morons you guys are as if to say Jack Nicklaus wasn't as fierce or Tom or Johnny Miller or Ben or Byron and the list goes on of REALLY fierce competitors, as John keeps his mouth shut and tells me how honest he is. Perhaps the most important book I ever read. I hoped that there could be conversations about Margy's dreams and hopes about her art and career but this was not common (gender) and still isn't in most political circles. First of all: I was not expecting much of this book but I am a Fan of Bill Gates so I did have to read it.
